Traffic heading southbound on Interstate 75 is at a standstill north of the University Parkway exit.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports the southbound on ramp is blocked at mile marker 191, in Venice, backing up traffic.
The blockage is the result of a vehicle crash, but no other details are available at this time.
Another crash on I-75 occurred at 9:41 a.m. at the Fruitville exit, as well.
