Siesta Key water service to be disrupted

More than 1,400 Siesta Key customers could be affected by temporary water-service interruption Thursday.

Sarasota County utilities scheduled repairs to a water valve at Midnight Pass Road and Sarasea Circle. The work is expected to begin at 11 a.m.

About 320 customers will be without water for an estimated six hours, and an additional 1,100 customers south of Sanderling Road could experience low water pressure during that time.

A boil-water advisory will be issued after the water service is restored.
