Siesta Key lands junior volleyball championships in July

Passes, sets and spikes will be the order of the day in late July when the USA Junior Volleyball Beach Tour Championships make a stop in Siesta Beach.

About 400 teams from around the country will converge on the popular public beach between July 20-25. General admission to the tournament and parking will be free.

The players are between 10-18 years old.

The opening three days, July 20-23, will host the Boys' 12 and-under and 14 and under Open and Club, and Girls' 12 and-under through 16 and-under Open and Club Divisions. The final days, July 23-25, will host the Boys' 16 and-under through 18 and-under and Girls' 14 and-under through 18 and-under in both the open and club divisions.

The tournament will bring to a close the 2017 season of the tour.
