Siesta Key home sells for $715,000

A home in Siesta Revised tops all real-estate transactions for the week of Sept. 17 to Sept. 23. Didier Chandellier sold the home at 231 Garden Lane to Kenneth and Malinda Laird, of Sarasota, for $715,000. Built in 2002, it has three bedrooms, four-and-a-half baths, a pool and 4,225 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $1.05 million in
2004.

Carroll and Mary Treder, of Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., sold their Unit 408 condominium at 6518 Midnight Pass Road to Stephen and Leslee Fielding, of Ontario, Canada, for $425,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,215 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $565,000 in 2003.

Siesta Beach
Daniel O’Rourke sold the home at 608 Treasure Boat Way to Darren and Lisa Arms, of Point Pleasant, N.J., for $345,000. Built in 1967, it has three bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,225 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $520,000 in 2004.

Whispering Sands
Paul Lizzo, trustee, and Ellen Lizzo sold their Unit V-29 condominium at 147 Whispering Sands Circle to James and Louise Mitchell, of Sarasota, for $300,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,264 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $335,000 in 2003.
Peppertree Bay

Susan Kaplan, of Berkeley, Calif., and Ellen Goudreau, of Blackstone, Mass., sold their Unit 221 condominium at 1104 Peppertree Court to Michael Kaplan, of Houston, for $216,900. Built in 1974, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,180 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $105,000 in 1987.

Peter Klein and Pallas Elkheart, of Venice, sold their home at 2818 Coventry Drive to Daryl and Patty Waldron, of Sarasota, for $290,000. Built in 1975, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 1,900 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $315,000 in 2004.

South Gate
Thomas Stone, of Kennesaw, Ga., sold his home at 2301 River Ridge Drive to Edward Giovannone, of Sarasota, for $260,000. Built in 1962, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 2,143 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $114,000 in 1997.

Lenny and Rita Tufaro, of Nassau, N.Y., sold their Unit 101 condominium at 301 Gulfstream Ave. to William and Dawn Saunders, of Sarasota, for $215,000. Built in 1969, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,106 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $27,500 in 1970.
