Siesta Key associations to meet this week

The Siesta Key Village Association will meet for its monthly meeting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Daiquiri Deck Raw Bar, 5250 Ocean Blvd.

Topics will include the Village noise concerns recently discussed by the Sarasota County commissioners, the nearly $3,000 reimbursement the organization recently received from Sarasota County for Village upkeep and the request for proposal for a private firm to take over the Siesta Village Maintenance Corp.’s duties.

The Siesta Key Association will also meet for its monthly meeting at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at St. Boniface Episcopal Church, 5615 Midnight Pass Road. The meeting will cover topics including inlet management and Florida Power and Light Smartmeters. A representative from Mote Marine’s Sea Turtle Program will discuss the start of nesting season.
