The Out-of-Door Academy 10, Bradenton Christian 3
Tony Gurry and Aj Strong each hit a pair of homeruns, leading the Thunder into the Class 1A-District 12 championship game.

Gurry started the game on the mound for ODA, allowing one run on four hits before turning the ball over to Taylor Emmons in the fifth inning.

SOFTBALL
Bartow 13, Braden River 3
The Lady Pirates saw their season come to an end in the quarterfinal round of Class 4A-Region 3 tournament. Braden River fell to Bartow for the second consecutive season as the visiting Yellow Jackets scored 11 runs in the final two innings.

Freshman Huntyre Elling led the way for Braden River at the plate going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and an RBI. Senior Taylor Paulson went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored, and junior Lauren Powell went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

BASEBALL
ODA 4, Manatee HEAT 3
Ben Grollman drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning as the host Thunder earned their first district title in school history.

Taylor Emmons pitched a complete game for ODA, allowing three runs on eight hits while striking out two.

Brendon Bercaw led the way for the Thunder at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBIs.

BASEBALL
Braden River 9, Arcadia DeSoto 1
Behind the bats of William Patterson and Stephen Fischer, the Pirates cruised past the Bulldogs in the semifinals of the Class 4A-District 10 tournament.

Patterson went 3-for-4 at the plate with a double, five RBIs, two stolen bases and a pair of runs scored.

Fischer followed, batting .667 with a stolen base and an RBI. Marc Monroe pitched six solid innings for the Pirates, allowing one run on five hits before turning the ball over to Ryan Grant in relief.

Braden River 13, Sebring 3
The Pirates followed up their undefeated district season with their second consecutive district title in the Class 4A-District championship.

Tyler King was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a pair of runs scored. Nathan Pittman followed, going 2-for-3 with a homerun, three RBIs and a pair of runs scored.

Stephen Fischer started his first game on the mound, allowing two runs on seven hits before the mercy rule was enacted in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game.
