Not long after giving state-funded raises to teachers and internally funded raises to municipal employees and paraprofessionals, the Manatee County School Board approved a 2 percent pay increase for remaining staff members.
At its meeting Monday night, the board approved the raises for all employees who didn't fall into the other "buckets" except senior management, which will not receive a pay increase this year.
All staff eligible for raises will see it in their Oct. 10 paychecks.
The district said funding for the latest raises comes from Superintendent Rick Mills' financial recovery plan adopted last year, which included cutting staff and teachers, selling property and closing the old Manatee County Technical Institute building.
