Registration for eProcure, Sarasota County’s new online procurement system, begins March 19. The eProcure system replaces the current online service with a free, single website for Sarasota County solicitations, policies, procedures and forms.

Vendors who register with eProcure will be automatically notified when bids are issued that potentially match their qualifications. Vendors also may claim local preference upon registration, instead of completing stringent preference guidelines each time they submit a solicitation.

Vendors must register to do business with Sarasota County. The county procurement department expects to begin posting solicitations to eProcure in May.

The new system will eliminate internal redundancies, improve reporting capabilities and substantially reduce Sarasota County’s environmental footprint by saving vendors the cost of preparing and printing submittal materials for solicitations that can be submitted electronically.

Two free training sessions will be offered on each of the dates listed below at the Sarasota County Administration Center, 1660 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota. Each session lasts about one hour. The sessions will begin at 8:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. with advanced registration required. Each session has a capacity of 25 participants.
