Sarasota Police are looking for a black male who robbed a 7-Eleven on North Washington Boulevard at roughly 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4.

The shirtless suspect was acting suspicious in the store an hour before the incident, and the clerk thought he saw a gun in the man's clothing. The suspect returned, threatened the clerk, took an unspecified amount of cash and fled on foot, according to a news release.

The suspect was last seen walking north of North Washington Boulevard. Anyone with information about the suspect or incident should call Det. Sgt. Tom Shanafelt at 954-7089.
