1 — Sarasota Military Academy sophomore Jack O’Hara won the boys 14-15 division of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Sarasota Junior Challenge Aug. 6-7, at Laurel Oak Country Club, after shooting a 2-over par 110. 

2 — Longboat Key resident Carson Enright shot a combined 117 through 27 holes to win the boys 13-15 division of the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour’s Sarasota Junior Challenge Aug. 6-7, at Laurel Oak Country Club. 

3 — Sarasota Christian’s McKenzie Clark and Devyn Mulligan helped power the Tampa Mustangs 14U team to a third-place finish at the Premier Girls Fast Pitch National Championship July 31-Aug. 6, in Huntington Beach, Calif. 

4— Cardinal Mooney’s Richard Krupa helped lead the Manatee Basketball Club Elite 17U boys team to a 66-61 victory against the Indiana Legends-Club 1 in the finals of the GRBA Nationals July 21-24, in Fort Wayne, Ind. 

5 — Alec Boot-Handford allowed one run on five hits through six innings of work to propel the Sarasota Babe Ruth 14U All-Star team to a 9-1 victory against Lawrence County, Tenn., during the championship of the Babe Ruth Southeast Regional July 30.
