Last night at the Van Wezel I was thrilled to witness the triumphant screening of the magnificent ROBOT & FRANK starring Frank Langella. After the screening Frank took the stage with SFF director Tom Hall and the film's director Jake Schreier. The conversation was witty and informative, Frank joked that the jacket he wore was older than the director (probably true), and there was great admiration and comradery to be seen. Audience members asked questions and had them answered, a great time was had by all! Then we had a sensational party at the Van Wezel with robotic dancers and all manner of spectacle. Wow, ONLY at SFF!

TODAY you still have a chance to see Mr. Langella. If you rush you may have enough time to join the line at his booksigning for his amazing memoir DROPPED NAMES at Bookstore1 on Main Street from 11 AM to noon. (Only books purchased at Bookstore1 will be signed.) You definitely have time to get to Sarasota High School and catch his sure to be riveting IN CONVERSATION moderated at 1:00 PM by New York Magazine and NPR Fresh Air's David Edelstein! Don't miss it!

Now I’d like to shine a light on two incredible attractions that SFF offers on many of our films. First up, you may see the phrase FILMMAKERS IN ATTENDANCE in our flyers or Morning Buzz Newsletters...
