The Sarasota County Library System will debut a new website March 26, according to a county news release.

The site will mirror the current Sarasota County government website and feature downloadable e-books; a newspaper database; and a link to chat, text or call a librarian with questions.

The county is currently running a “Design-a-Card” contest to choose two new looks for library cards. A panel of representatives from the Sarasota County Library System, the Sarasota County Commission, Sarasota County schools and Ringling College of Art and Design will judge entries, which will be accepted through April 20.
