Singing for the Seniors
Starts at 7 p.m. at Florida Studio Theatre, 1241 Palm Ave. Vintage Paws Sanctuary presents its first lip syncing competition. Festival of May Celebration

Tom Wallin Memorial Reef Benefit
Runs from noon to 8 p.m. at Walt’s Fish Market, 4144 S. Tamiami Trail. The benefit is held annually to keep Tom Wallin’s legacy alive and to raise money for the reef that bears his name in the Gulf of Mexico. Tripod Tuesdays
Runs from 9 to 10 a.m. at Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, 900 Palm Ave. Enjoy access to the Tropical Conservatory before garden hours on three Tuesdays this summer. Photographers who register in advance for this special opportunity will be allowed to use tripods to capture images of thousands of orchids. Registration is $15 for members; $20 for nonmembers. College Money Madness
Runs from 2:30 to 7 p.m. at Booker High School, 3201 Orange Ave. Local high school students and their parents are invited to receive assistance with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at a free workshop. The event is a joint venture between the Sarasota County School District and the Talent4Tomorrow Partnership, a local education workforce initiative that offers college and career pathways.
