A home in Sarasota Beach tops all real-estate transactions for the week of Jan. 7-13. Salerno Development LLC sold the home at 456 Canal Road to Marc and Beth Orlando, of Mason, Ohio, for $1,187,500. Built in 2008, it has five bedrooms, six baths and two half-baths, a pool and 6,768 square feet of living area. The home last sold for $500,000 in 2004.

Michael and Andrea Deskins, of Sarasota, sold their home at 7848 Midnight Pass Road to Hyrum Smith and Noelle Kauramki, of Sarasota, for $625,000. Built in 1953, it has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,892 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $111,000 in 1987.

Christopher and Donna Blask sold their home at 598 Venice Lane to Norma Fox, of Silver Spring, Md., for $380,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths, a pool and 2,010 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $475,000 in 2008.
