Road Runners Club of America honors Sarasota County

The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has named Sarasota County an Outstanding Runner Friendly Community.

Sarasota Athletic Association President Felicia Cox presented the award to Sarasota County commissioners  April 9.

Cox led the nomination with the help of Visit Sarasota County and New Balance Sarasota and University Park co-owner David Jackson.

“Sarasota has a longstanding history in advocating and supporting runners,” says Cox.
