Ringling College of Art Design brought home another accolade last night.

The British Academy of Film and Television announced the winners of its Student Film Awards with Ringling’s Kal Athannassov, John McDonald and Echo Wu taking home the prize for animation.

The trio collaborated on their film “The Wishgranter.”

This year’s award-winners were selected from more than 400 submissions by students at film schools in 15 countries including Argentina, Austria, the U.S. and Canada.

Although this is Ringling's most recent moment in the spotlight, it’s not the first time the college has attracted international acclaim.

Ringling students were credited  on four Oscar-nominated films at the 2017 Academy Awards including the winner for best animated feature “Zootopia.”
