Laurel Park residents rolled up their sleeves Dec. 19 to lay bricks along Rawls Avenue for one block, from Oak Street to Devonshire Lane.
Rawls Street was due for a road improvement after the original bricks had shifted, which created a bumpy ride for motorists.
The bricklaying was a collaboration with the city of Sarasota to help restore the historic appearance of Sarasota.
