Sarasota Police officers responding to a report of gunfire downtown this morning say their initial investigation leads them to believe it was a suicide.
A police spokeswoman released on social media a message that said the weapon had been found and was secured.
Police have a segment of Orange Avenue near First Street blocked for their investigation.
