Registration underway for Amateur Championships

The Manatee County Amateur Golf Championships will be held Sept. 20-22.

The tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Sept. 20, at The Manatee Golf Course. Play will continue at the Buffalo Creek Golf Course (Sept. 21) and River Wilderness Golf and Country Club.

The tournament will feature a 54-hole stroke play, gross format. Players will be flighted within their division after their first round scored based upon the number of players in the division. Divisions include: Men’s Championship Open, Senior Men’s Championship (ages 50 and up), Women’s Open Championship and Senior Women’s Championship (ages 50 and up).

Entry into the tournament is $125 and registration is now underway. Entry fee includes range balls, green and cart fees, a commemorative tee gift, a daily beverage ticket, and a player lunch.

The deadline to register is Sept. 13.
