Reconnection a welcome gift

Shawna Hicks-Cranston, the owner of PostNet in Lakewood Ranch, walked away with more than just business connections at the Lakewood Ranch Business Alliance’s Lunch with Ranchers on Aug. 20 at Even Hotel.

Hicks-Cranston won a bottle of wine, a wine glass, a purse and sunglasses in a raffle during the alliance’s first in-person meeting since the pandemic began.

“It was wonderful,” Hicks-Cranston said. “It’s nice to be back with all of our Lakewood Ranch members again. It’s motivating to finally be able to be out.”

bringing residents in the Stoneybrook at Heritage Harbour together.

She and other members of the Stoneybrook Homeowners Association’s social committee on Aug. 8 passed out hot dogs, chips, juice boxes and snow cones to families who drove up to the rec center to see “Trolls World Tour.”

The drive-in movie was a way to keep residents socially distanced while enjoying a community event.
