Perfecting your swing

By Steve Whidden, Rosedale Golf & Country Club

Typically most people’s swings are in trouble before they even start the club into the upswing.

A good way to check if you are on the right track is to examine your swing. As you make your initial motion of your backswing, when your left arm first gets parallel to your toe line, the left arm, shaft and head of your club should be in line.  If they are not then your upswing will not be on plane and you will hit inconsistent shots.  So make sure you start off right.
