Primary polls open in Manatee

East County voters today will decide their party’s candidate in key races such as governor, U.S. senator, U.S. representative, governor and attorney general. Those winners then will face the winner of the opposing party’s primary in the November election.

Today’s voting also will determine the winner of several local elections, including three Manatee County School Board seats.

Polls will be open until 7 p.m., tonight. Voters should bring photo identification with signature and current address to their polling precinct.
