Premier Sotheby’s International Realty announced today that Anne Chakos has been named the new managing broker of its Longboat Key office.

Chakos began her career in Florida real estate in 1998, when she and her husband opened a boutique real-estate firm specializing in resort residential sales and later worked in sales and marketing for Lee Wetherington Homes, where she sold more than $55 million in new homes.

Most recently, Chakos served as a sales professional, technology and skills trainer and assistant manager for Premier Sotheby’s downtown Sarasota office at The Plaza at Five Points.

“I am delighted that Anne has accepted this role,” said Judy Green, president and CEO of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, in a prepared statement. “Her years of experience working in many aspects of real estate have provided her with a breadth of knowledge that will be of great value to the agents in our Longboat Key office. She will be a very positive role model and leader for them.”

The office’s previous managing broker, David Kovalsky, died May 31.
