Comment: Mental illness isn't funny but, this subject is handled realistically and with sensitivity evolving into the silver lining. Bradley Cooper is terrific, and everyone will fall in love with Jennifer Lawrence. DeNiro shines as usual. Loaded with heart.

"The Late Quartet"
Three Popcorns
Genre: Drama
Cast: Philip Seymour Hoffman, Christopher Walken, Catherine Keener, Mark Ivanir, Imogen Poots

Comment: Slow, but powerful. A superb ensemble portrays the rigors of world-class, classical music performance and the inevitable ego conflicts behind the scenes. Very moving.
