Poll locations throughout the city are bustling today. Voters are choosing their candidates in elections ranging from U.S. senate and house to state house to hospital board.

The marquis Sarasota County races are the two county commission races. Incumbent Republican Joe Barbetta is challenged by independent candidate Cathy Antunes, and Nora Patterson, also an incumbent Republican, faces Democratic challenger Mark Hawkins.

Poll volunteers at Precinct 110 on Fruitville Road said they’ve been busy all morning long.

Voters can cast their ballots until 7 p.m. this evening.
