Manatee County Sheriff's Office detectives are searching for a Parrish 16-year-old who went missing today.

According to sheriff's office reports, on Nov. 14, Taylor Caldwell left her Parrish home for Palmetto High School. Her parents called police at 5:02 p.m., when they had not heard from her all day. Her parents told police she had left home angry, because she was being punished and have some privileges revoked. Palmetto High officials told her parents she was not in school the entire day but could not say when she left.

Caldwell's parents are worried, because she had attempted suicide in the past and is presently taking two medications for depression.

Caldwell is 5-foot-3, weights about 125 pounds and has long brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at Emerson Point in Parrish and was wearing blue jeans, a dark purple hoodie sweatshirt (with a Reebok logo), possibly wearing flip-flops and dinosaur ear rings.

Anyone with information should call the sheriff's office at 747-3011.
