Paving project under way

A portion of the northbound lane in the 2700 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive was removed in April to fix a leaking pipe.

The 2700 block of Gulf of Mexico Drive, just north of Bay Isles Road, is being repaved today.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during the project, but intermittent lane closures may occur occasionally.

The paving is the last phase of a an emergency pipeline project that was performed in April to fix a leaking wastewater pipe under Gulf of Mexico Drive.
