Olympian to help open LWR gym

Lakewood Ranch Gymnastics will celebrate the grand opening of its new $1.8 million facility from 12-2 p.m. Sept. 20.

Joining Lakewood Ranch Gymnastics in the celebration will be U.S. Olympic gold medal gymnast Aly Raisman will be greeting visitors and signing autographs.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature open gym playtime and exhibitions by Lakewood Ranch team gymnasts. Pizza and dessert will be provided.

David and Laura Parraga, who both have an extensive gymnastics background, opened Lakewood Ranch Gymnastics in May 2011.
