The Observer seeks submissions for its Occasions section

The Observer is seeking submissions for its announcements section, Occasions. We want to help you celebrate births, engagements, weddings and anniversaries. The announcements will appear in the Longboat, Sarasota and East County Observers and the Pelican Press.

For Births, please include the baby's parents' and grandparents' names and cities in which they live, names of the baby's siblings and the baby's height, weight, time of birth and place of birth.

For engagements, weddings and anniversaries, let us know how you met, where you met and any fun details of the event. Share your story!

Submissions should include a photo, name of people in the photo, where they live and a brief write-up about the announcement.
