YourObserver.com app users can:

• Get the latest headlines of the day or filter neighborhood news by Longboat Key, East County or Sarasota.

• View, save and share must-attend upcoming events.

• Browse and view Black Tie photo galleries in portrait and landscape formats.

• View, save and share the much-read police reports from Cops Corner.

With the YourObserver.com app, you don’t just read the news — you can make it your own. Save articles to read later, and e-mail articles, events and photo galleries to your friends … all while on the go.

AtLarge Inc. created the YourObserver.com iPhone app five months ago. Under the leadership of Anand Pallegar and his atLarge team, they created a mobile app that was then beta-tested by a team of Observer Group employees.

The app was pre-launched in the Apple app store at the beginning of February and has since garnered five-star ratings.

“We wanted to create a mobile experience as smart and entertaining as Your Observer.com’s award-winning news coverage — the kind of experience that would capture YourObserver.com’s hyper-local news, events and Black Tie photo galleries in style,” says Pallegar. “Judging by the reviews and downloads, we’ve succeeded.”
