Obituary: Robert Louis Schroeder

Robert Louis Schroeder, of Longboat Key, died Aug. 3. He was 84.

Mr. Schroeder was born March 24, 1927. He was a World War II Navy veteran.

Mr. Schroeder was active in the Longboat Island Chapel, the Republican Club of Longboat Key and a variety of other organizations, such as sitting on the panel of the board of directors for Junior Achievement.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Elaine. Mr. Schroeder is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pauline; sons Gary and Mark; daughters Gail Hastings and Susan Brunst; stepsons Trevor, William and Fletcher; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Aug. 7, at the Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
