Obituary: Jeffrey T. Carleton

Jeffrey T. Carleton, of Sarasota, died Feb. 18. He was 53.

He was born Oct. 15, 1958, in Rockford, Ill., and moved to Sarasota shortly after college.

He had a genuine passion for renovating houses, golfing, boating and especially for helping others.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rodney Carleton and his daughter, Anna. He is survived by his mother, Doris Bushman, of Longboat Key; sister, Jodi Sittig; aunt, Carol Bunk; two nephews; and cherished dog, Sam.

A memorial service will take place at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, 40 N. Adams Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Armands Key Lutheran Church, 40 N. Adams Drive, Sarasota, FL 34236.
