Carola Palmerton Tucker, 97, of Oquaga Lake, N.Y. and Longboat Key, died Oct. 2.

Born March 4, 1913, she married David Tucker in 1962. The couple lived in Los Angeles until they moved to Longboat Key in 1976.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her daughters, Jean Palmerton and Sarah “Sallie” Smith; four grandchildren; and nine grandchildren. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
