Obituary: Bernard 'Ben' Brieske

Bernard “Ben” Brieske, 83, of Longboat Key, died Sept. 26.

Born Dec. 26, 1930, in Chicago, Mr. Brieske was originally from the city of Chicago and later moved to its northwest suburbs. He served as a cryptanalyst in the Air Force and is remembered as a self-made success in the business world.

Mr. Brieske is survived by his son, Matthew.

A military honors burial service took place Oct. 6, at Sarasota National Cemetery.
