OBITUARY: Barbara Timm

Barbara Timm, 86, died June 6.

Raised in Rockville, Conn., Mrs. Timm graduated from Connecticut College in 1949 and taught art in the New Haven public school system for several years.

Mrs. Timm was involved in many organizations, including Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, the PTA, Village Club and the Garden Club. She and her husband, Alan, were avid travelers; they explored Russia, China, the Caribbean, Europe and the U.S. In their later years, they divided their time between Maine and Longboat Key.
Mrs. Timm is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alan; daughter, Betsey; sons, Douglas and Jeffrey; brother, Gorden Mead; and five grandchildren.
