Obituary: Audrey June Sandberg

Audrey Sandberg, of Longmont, Colo., and formerly of Pike, Ohio, and Longboat Key, died March 31. She was 89.

Mrs. Sandberg was born June 9, 1922, in Cleveland, to Ethel and Samuel Landy. She graduated in 1940 from Heights High School in Cleveland. Mrs. Sandberg worked as a drafting engineer for Warner & Swazey.
She married Gilbert Kutash in 1947. He died in 1967. She married Arthur Carl Sandberg in 1970.

Mrs. Sandberg reared two children, Robin and Raymond, and was a homemaker prior to moving to Longboat Key in 1976.

Mrs. Sandberg was an avid sports fan and belonged to the Lake Forest Country Club. She bowled, played cards and loved puzzles. Her love for music never tired. She played piano at the Life Care Center, where she was an advocate for her ward.

While living in Florida, she enjoyed morning swims in the Gulf and the pool, played bridge and tennis in the afternoons and spent evenings listening to the symphony. Mrs. Sandberg was a member of Temple Beth Israel as well as the Fairmont Temple in Beachwood, Ohio, prior to her move to Florida.

Mrs. Sandberg is survived by her brother, Alan Landy; daughter, Robin Danaceau; son, Raymond Kutash; two grandchildren; a nephew and two nieces.

Cremation took place at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory; memorial service details have not been determined. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice in Audrey Sandberg’s name. Visit ahlbergfuneralchapel.com to share condolences.
