Routine maintenance on the Longboat Pass Bridge began last night and will continue nightly through March 5.
All work will take place between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
According to a Florida Department of Transportation news release, flagmen will stop traffic in one direction for a short period to allow traffic to pass. Operations will be terminated if traffic backs up.
