+ Main Street input received
Residents and business owners gave their input Monday at City Hall on a Main Street streetscape project that calls for a more uniform look with bricked streets in the historic district.

Cards were distributed to the participants so that they could provide their input. The cards, and the chosen project, will be presented in December to the Downtown Improvement District board for its review.
The goal is for the city to finalize a design and cost for the future project before presenting it to the Sarasota City, Commission for its review by the end of the year.

DID Chairman Ernie Ritz said the goal of any future project will be to minimize project construction as much as possible so it doesn’t affect the business of the Main Street merchants.
