+ SCVB wins top award for US Airways insert
The Sarasota Convention & Visitors Bureau, in partnership with Sarasota resident Harry Leopold, Pace Communications and ChappellRoberts, has won Best in Show, the top honor in the Destination Management Organization category, in the SASI-ONE (Shop America Salutes Innovation) Awards.

SASI-ONE recognized the collaborators for the 48-page, four-color special insert in the November 2011 US Airways in-flight magazine.

In addition to the magazine’s being distributed in the airline’s seat-back pockets, it is online
at www.sarasotafl.org and www.usairways.com, garnering additional exposure.

Furthermore, the special insert provided a special QR code, which directed visitors to a landing page with more information on special arts and cultural guides in Sarasota County.

The SASI-ONE Awards for shopping and cultural-tourism marketing excellence recognize prominent leaders in the tourism industry for their vision and commitment. The awards were presented Jan. 17 in Orlando.
