A group of 15 management trainees from General Electric donated hours of their time Friday to assemble a new greenhouse for Easter Seals Southwest Florida.

“This is part of our week’s activities and GE’s efforts to give back,” said Julie Dewane, GE management trainee. “We’re encouraged to give back to the communities in which we live and operate. There’s strength in numbers, as they say.”

The new greenhouse, located off Braden Avenue in Sarasota, will provide an opportunity to children and adults to learn about growing and nurturing plants and vegetables, while also gaining an appreciation for nature and allowing for nutritional training. The children and adults will have the opportunity to sell any products grown.
