New College makes appearance on the 'Today' show for no. 3 'Best Value College' ranking

New College of Florida received a tip-of-the-hat from the Princeton Review and USA Today, ranking no. 3 in the “Best Value College in America” for 2012. The school was featured on the NBC’s the “Today” show this morning, an in USA Today’s print edition.

“It is a wonderful school, a small school” said the Princeton Review’s Robert Franek on the “Today” show. “It’s the official honors college of the State of Florida. It’s an enormous academic value and a great financial aid value as well”

This marks the fourth time New College has been among the top three public school offerings in the Princeton Review and USA Today’s ranks.

The only other Florida school to make the 2012 list was the University of Florida, which ranked no. 7.

The “Best Value Colleges” for 2012 were selected based upon institutional data and student opinion surveys, weighing undergraduate academics, costs, and financial aid.

3. New College of Florida, Sarasota, Fla.
