Musical man Daniel Moe dies

Key Chorale’s Conductor Emeritus Daniel Moe died May 24.

The group will dedicate its performance Sunday of Ola Gjeilo’s “The Ground” to his memory.

Moe was the Music Director of the Key Chorale until he retired in 2006, worked as the Composer in Residence at The Church of the Redeemer, and also served as the Adjunct Professor of Music at New College in Sarasota where he conducted choirs.

A memorial service will take place 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 28, at Church of the Redeemer.
