MTC hosts hearing expo

The Hearing Loss Association of America’s Sarasota and Manatee Chapter will host the Listen!Up Hearing Loss Expo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 5, at Manatee Technical College, 6305 State Road 70 E., Bradenton.

This year’s expo is themed “What's New?” and reflects what strides in technology are being made to help the hard of hearing. Attendees will be able to learn about and try new products.

The seminar schedule is as follows:

9:30 a.m. — “What HLAA is Doing for You” by Joan Haber

10:15 a.m. — Resources for veterans with hearing loss

11:30 a.m. — Cochlear implant panel

12:30 p.m. — “Auditory Fitness: Strengthening Your Ability to Hear and Understand” by Dr. Susan deBondt

1:30 p.m. — What’s new in technology from exhibitors
