Two juvenile green sea turtles rehabilitated at Mote Marine Laboratory were returned to the wild Friday morning.

Hayley, the final turtle treated at Mote for cold-stunning after the extended period of cold weather that began in January, was returned to sea from City Island. Hayley was one of 4,500 turtles that experienced cold-stunning statewide.

Terra, who arrived April 22 at Mote, one day after becoming entangled in monofilament fishing line in waters off of the Dubai Long Pier in Pinellas County, was released from the Broadway beach access at the north end of Longboat Key.
