Mangrove Point Road home sells for $2,675,000

Lyken Life Properties LLC sold the South Cocoanut Bayou home at 850 Mangrove Point Road to Joseph and Kelly Romano, Sarasota, for $2,675,000. Built in 1954, it has five bedrooms, four baths, a pool and 4,468 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $3.5 million in 2005.

The following residential real-estate transactions on Siesta Key were recorded Aug. 1 to Aug. 5 at the Sarasota County Courthouse. Of this week’s eight sales, the top sale was the only one to exceed $2 million.

Sarasota Beach
Brian and Catherine Letts, of Boulder, Colo., sold their home at 238 Island Circle to Manoj Gupta and Vivien Chan, New York, for $855,000. Built in 1965, it has four bedrooms, three baths and 2,877 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $171,000 in 1993.

Avenida De Cortez
Edward and Nancy Hutchinson, of Medford, N.J., sold their Unit A condominium at 5210 Avenida De Cortez to David and Kerry Sevic, of Leechburg, Pa., for $537,000. Built in 2004, it has two bedrooms, two-and-one-half baths and 1,747 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $640,000 in 2005.

Sarasota Surf and Racquet Club
Thomas Westbrook and Donald DeLoach, trustees, of Duluth, Ga., sold the Unit 303 condominium at 5916 Midnight Pass Road to Bert and Anamari Bowers, Sarasota, for $425,000. Built in 1971, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,240 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $41,800 in 1971.

Crescent Arms
Dennis and Ofelia Derr, of Travis, Texas, sold their Unit 303-N condominium at 6310 Midnight Pass Road to Donald and Elaine Kincaid, Sarasota, for $350,000. Built in 1968, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 894 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $730,000 in 2004.

Siesta Isles
Marvin Whitley and Richard Capes, Sarasota, sold their home at 5532 Cape Aqua Drive to Lucia Berliner, Sarasota, for $330,000. Built in 1963, it has two bedrooms, one bath and 1,389 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $128,000 in 1991.

Pepper Tree Bay
Fannie Mae sold the Unit 234 condominium at 1201 E. Peppertree Drive to Edward Wadlinger III and Nicholas Wadlinger, Sarasota, for $265,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,310 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $450,000 in 2007.

The Inlet
Bridget and Daniel Long, of Palos Park, Ill., sold their Unit 29 condominium at 9300 Midnight Pass Road to Anthony Tasca III, Sarasota, for $200,000. Built in 1972, it has two bedrooms, two baths and 895 square feet of living area. It previously sold for $99,900 in 1994.
