Manatee schools schedule kindergarten roundups

Manatee County parents can register their kindergarten-age children for the 2011-2012 school year during the Manatee County School District’s annual “Kindergarten Roundup” held at elementary schools across the county.

Children who are 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2011, are eligible. To register, parents or guardians should provide the child’s birth certificate, a physical examination certificate (from within the last 12 months), a Florida Certificate of Immunization and proof of residency.

East County roundups are scheduled as follows:

Braden River Elementary: 2-7 p.m., March 30
Witt Elementary: 1:30-6 p.m., April 6
Willis Elementary: 9 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m., April 7
Bashaw Elementary: 7:30 a.m., to noon and 2-6 p.m., April 7
McNeal Elementary: 4-6:30 p.m., April 28
Freedom Elementary: 3:30-6:30 p.m., May 12
Tara Elementary: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., May 12
