Manatee government to close for Thanksgiving

Manatee County government offices will be closed Nov. 26-27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Trash pick-up and recycling for residents in unincorporated Manatee will be suspended on Thanksgiving Day but will resume Friday.

Manatee County Area Transit will suspend fixed route and Handy Bus services on Thanksgiving Day, but the Anna Maria Island Trolley and Beach Express will operate, a county press release states.

Additionally, county parks will be open to the public, but facilities such as pools and gyms will be closed.

Robinson Preserve and Emerson Point Preserve will remain open Nov. 26, but all other preserves will be closed for the holiday and will reopen on Friday.
