Manatee FEMA center closes Saturday; Sarasota County center open

Manatee County residents and business owners who suffered damages from Tropical Storm Debby have until Saturday, July 28 to visit a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) temporary disaster recovery center at the Manatee County Convention Center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto.

According to a news release, traffic to the center has decreased, indication that the information needs of survivors in the area has been met.

Additionally, a temporary disaster recovery center has opened for Sarasota County residents and business owners who experienced Debby-related damages.

The new center is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, in Community Hall Room 114 of Venice City Hall, 401 W. Venice Ave., Venice.
