The Manatee County Health Department is hosting a free H1N1 flu vaccination clinic for all county residents wishing to receive the vaccination from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 19, at the Manatee Convention & Civic Center, 1 Haben Blvd., Palmetto.

The department will immunize as many people as possible during the clinic. Both the H1N1 nasal mist, which is preservative-free, and the injectable vaccine of inactivated virus will be available.

The Manatee County Health Department and its community partners also are continuing to provide the H1N1 flu vaccine to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention priority groups.

Blank consent forms will be available at the clinic for those who do not download the vaccine consent form, in advance, from the Health Department Web site.

Up-to-date information on the H1N1 flu and what you can do can be found at the Florida Department of Health Web site, www.MyFluSafety.com or by calling the H1N1 (Swine Flu) Influenza Information Line, 877-352-3581.
