What do you do to be environmentally conscious?

Leslie Connolly
“I try to buy things in bulk to avoid excess packaging and I use re-usable bags whenever I go grocery shopping. I plan on starting a compost this year. I also use 30% biofuel to heat my home. I live in Maine so we use our heat a lot!”

Nikki Heil
“Tomorrow is Bring your Child to Work Day, so the children of the employees here at Whole Foods are going to be coming in to the store. The kids will be learning about eco-crafts, making recycled art projects and going on a store tour about organics and sustainability. One of our main goals is to educate the next generation on their global responsibility for the future.”

Rachelle Army
“We recycle at home and use reusable grocery bags. We also use a dehumidifier to water our plants, which uses the water that’s already in the air rather than taking water from the tap. We also have a pool, so we’re careful not to run the pool filter continuously.”

Vicki C.
“I always try to be environmentally conscious by recycling everything that I possibly can. I also try to buy things made out of recycled materials whenever it’s an option.”

Brad and Jessie Danahy
“We re-use anything we can, like water bottles. We take public transportation or carpool whenever we can.”
